A Custom Photo Print That Makes a Vacation Last a Lifetime
Wedding and event photographer David Yarnall was searching for a way to fully customize his photo print. He shot the photo during a trip to the Mediterranean celebrating his 30th anniversary vacation. It was taken off the coast of the island of Mykonos on a windy, overcast day as David recalled. “It worked out because many of the buildings are white and they weren’t overexposed.”
Using a Canon 5D Mark III fitted with a 70-200mm Canon lens, he captured the area known as “Little Venice,” where the buildings seemingly spill into and join the sea.
For such a beautiful shot, he wanted mounting and framing that was totally customizable. Upon finding Artmill, he ordered a Floatmount, but specifically requested no backing hardware as he wanted to frame it to match existing framed photos in his home. He also needed the print custom sized down to the inch. “I didn’t want to crop interesting parts out of the photo.
